What kind of services do you provide?

Tender Hearts Senior Care is a non-medical companion care service. Our caregivers can assist clients with needs that are outside the scope of medical care. This includes medication and fluid reminders, fall prevention, light housekeeping, meal planning and running errands. We strive to ensure that your loved one is in the comfort of home with the help of our companions.

Who is companion care for?

Seniors living independently at home, in assisted living facilities and patients transitioning from a hospital or medical facility back to home. We provide care on a short or long term basis.

Do you provide services in assisted living facilities?

Yes we do. We can provide caregivers for short-term or long-term stays.

Are your services covered by Medicare?

No. Medicare only covers acute skilled care, usually after a hospital stay. However, we encourage you to consult your individual insurance policy, as some long care insurance policies may provide coverage.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, personal checks and automated payment plans.

Are Tender Heart caregivers employees or independent contractors?

Our companions are employees and are covered by professional liability insurance, theft bonds and workers compensation insurance.

Does the caregiver provide updates?

Each caregiver keeps a daily log. Caregivers and Case Managers communicate every day through the use of these detailed notes. The notes are shared with family members on a continual basis.

What are your hiring standards?

All of our caregivers undergo thorough interviewing, testing and screening prior to employment. This process includes background checks, reference checks, license verification, and driving record check. All caregivers are bonded and insured.

Will the same caregiver be with my loved one on a consistent basis?

Our goal is to provide the same primary caregiver with your loved one, when possible.

What happens if the caregiver calls in sick or has an emergency?

We will place a temporary caregiver in the event that your primary caregiver is unable to report to work.

What happens if the caregiver is not a suitable match for our family?

We will listen to your concerns and work to find the best possible match for your loved one.
